In March, I made the trip to Guatemala to visit the people in Talaxcoc. This village of about 190 families and more than 1,000 people lack running water (or clean water, for that matter). Through Run For H2O — which includes a 10km run, 5km run/walk, 1km kids run, and a 50m toddler dash — all 100% of the funds raised goes towards building a clean water system for this village through HOPE International and their local partner.
Imagine having to hike 2 hours just to get water. Then having to do that 4 times each day. That’s the life in Talaxcoc. As part of the organizing committee for both Run For H2O and PentaSport, we want to help change that. If you’re in Vancouver, also sign up for the Run! You can also volunteer or donate.
